Teams and Practice
Once registration is closed, teams are divided by age into groupings called divisions. Age is determined by birth year. Players who wish to be moved up will need to be evaluated by our coach administration staff to be sure they are a good fit for the new division.
Every team has one mandatory team practice a week (except for the very youngest players; 3, 4 and 5 years old). Practices will take place on a fixed day and time each week. These times are assigned to teams after the teams have been formed.
There are also weekly optional practices divided by age divisions, run by coaches from First Touch Soccer. Players can attend as many or as few of these as desired. Please see our schedule page for more detail.

We encourage every player to bring their own ball to practices:

Turf shoes are recommended, especially for players in U8 and above. Extra, All-Star, and Alliance teams may also play on grass, where traditional cleats are recommended; these details will be communicated by your coach.
